Help! figuring out volts vs amps. Overload?
I need help trying to figure out the total electric used in kitchen appliances.
How would I go about adding up how much each appliance uses vs the total amount the fuse would allow?
The entire kitchen is on one fuse...Someone has changed them to 30amp when it is only supposed to hold a 15amp.
The kitchen has plugged in: Washer/Dryer Refrigerator, stove, water softer, and other general kitchen appliances.
Is there a easy way I would be able to add up the total of all the appliances?
Or if anyone has any web links that may be able to explain it, or help that would be great.

To figure out total load you need to:
look at the appliance data plate and find the full load amperage, then add them up, or
turn on all appliances and measure the load at the panel with an amprobe.
You really need your kitchen rewired.
Changing fuse size without changing wire size is dangerous.

Landlord refuses to fix heat in winter.......?
During Nov and Dec. landlord refuses to fix heat and there was NO heat throughout house. January we do not pay rent due to living in unsatisfactory conditions. Call local branches to help and get very general answers.Receive letter to vacate premises. We stay Feb also due to the fact we have a son in school and can not find a place. Landlord comes to house , physically assaults my husband and separates his shoulder. Threatens family. Other problems include leaks, a few rooms have no electric,no washer dryer, no dishwasher as promised. Two burners on stove not working.
Has my two months security which equal past rent due ....We knew with what was happening that he would keep security.Anyways, his lawyer says he can sue us. What is our recourse....as he violated our rights....
Looks like your Landlord is a Thug. May be his lawyer also is the same time. What does your lawyer say?
